Places in Mexico

We always get the question – “ Why did you choose to move to Mexico?” It’s an easy one to answer if we are sitting on the beach with a margarita in hand – we just look around us and smile and usually whoever asked just laughs and says – “ Silly question.” And the beach is definitely a plus – but there’s much more than that to this country that has captured our hearts. 

It’s a country of immense beauty, both in its biodiversity / natural geographic wonders and in its people. Modernization is certainly here as it is everywhere, yet there is still a very strong connection to tradition and traditional ways and this is reflected in the personality and creativity of the Mexican people. As artists and creators we are always drawn to places and cultures where craftsmanship in any way shape or form is a way of life – and Mexico has that in abundance.

The passion to create, to innovate, to make magic – that is what drives us and is what is behind our tequila. And it goes so far beyond agave. From modern art to traditional indigenous craftsmanship, Mexico is an artists Mecca, and no matter how small a town we’ve visited we’ve been hard pressed to find a single place where we haven’t run into art in some form. Be it physical or culinary, geographical or musical, Mexico is a paradise for dreamers and a place where creativity thrives. 

Place by place, sight by sight,( such as the majestic location of Agua Azul) we are going to share that with you here in our blog in the hopes that Mexico will find a way into your hearts and souls like it has in ours, and when you do come to visit again ( or come for the first time )  you’ll see a little more of this amazing part of the world that inspires us to keep creating our magic.
